Don't worry! Male sexual performance anxiety is extremely common but it is easily treatable.

I suffered from coital anxiety for many years and I was able to overcome this curse. Today I have a normal sex life.

I'm not a doctor but I have a couple of tips that may be helpful:

a) Do your research on this subject. Read books, talk to experts, search the Internet. The more you know about these problems, the less stressful they will be.

b) There's a good reason why anxiety and sex don't go well together. When you get too nervous, the release of stress hormones constricts peripheral circulation so that blood can get to the vital organs (heart, lungs) more rapidly. The penis is not a vital organ. In fact, the last thing you need when you're facing danger is an erection! This is the infamous 'fight or flight response'.

c) Anxiety is closely related to depression and depression is also a major cause of erectile failure. Erections start in the brain and if the brain isn't working properly, sexual problems may occur.

d) Sex is all about relaxation. If possible, tell your boyfriend to take a nap or a hot shower before sex. This can do wonders for his performance. The warm water will relax him and dilate the vessels that bring blood into the penis to form an erection.

e) A healthy lifestyle is the #1 ED treatment. Healthy diet and regular exercise are essential.

f) If the situation persists for more than three months, he should consult a urologist. It's no shame to seek professional help. There may be some underlying organic cause that he's not aware of and even if this is 'just in the head' a urologist can prescribe an effective treatment.

g) Oral treatments are very effective. PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) are excellent but they're not the only solution; VIGAMED (oral phentolamine) is a new ED drug that is also very effective. VIGAMED (formerly known as Vasomax) is not available in the US, but is is a licensed ED treatment in South America and you can order it online: www.vasomaxclinic.com. Again, consult a urologist before you decide to try any treatment or natural supplement.

(I'm currently taking a combination of Cialis and Vigamed and I'm very happy with the results)

h) Women usually don't like the idea of their men taking these drugs but they really shouldn't feel this way. There's nothing fake or artifficial about an erection on Viagra. These drugs are mere erection facilitators, not erection initiators, sexual stimulation is always essential.

i) Women have to be extremely patient and supportive, a good partner is essential to overcome this.

j) Don't forget to share your experience with other Internet users: www.edguider.com/forum

I hope this helps. Good luck!
